De Chaunac grapes produce heavily pigmented wines that give black cherry and plumb notes but can be very neutral and non-descript. Good acid with low tannins.Origin:
A French hybrid that grows well in colder northern climates. This vine is heavy yielding and needs to be cluster thinned.
Tips:
Age in oak to add character and structure to what can otherwise be a very neutral wine.
