Wyeast Laboratories has been producing pure liquid yeast cultures for commercial breweries and home brewers for over 20 years. Over time, we have added many new specialty strains to our line-up, as well as refining our packaging. We now offer a packaging size and style to meet all your brewing needs.
Our Smack-pack System allows yeast metabolism to begin, providing proof of healthy yeast ready for brewing. It is not necessary for the packages to fully swell before use.

Activator™
The Activator™ has a minimum of 100 billion cells of pure, ready-to-pitch yeast, plus an internal nutrient packet. The Activator™ is designed to inoculate five gallons of wort (up to 1.060 SG) providing the pitching rate recommended by professional brewers.

Propagator™
The PROPAGATOR™ has a minimum of 25 billion cells of pure yeast, plus an internal nutrient packet. The PROPAGATOR™ is designed to inoculate a one liter starter* before adding to five gallons of wort (up to 1.060 SG).
